Retrospect – 30 years ago, the success story of today’s Brüning Group began with the sole proprietorship Arnd Brüning e. K. in Fischerhude. The originally small garden nursery, which quickly developed into a trading company with products such as soil conditioners, wood residues and wood fuels, continued to grow steadily and the Brüning Gruppe was formed. The growth of the company was accompanied by an increase in the number of employees. It became crowed in the former office, so a new building was built in Fischerhude. After a short time, an extension followed, as more space was needed. Soon other locations were added, among others in Bremen. The original plan was to expand the company headquarters a second time with a new building in Fischerhude. In the end, however, the decision was made to relocate the headquarters and move completely to Bremen. An exciting planning and construction period began.
The big move began at the end of July 2023. Around 140 of our employees from Fischerhude and the previous Bremen office moved into the new headquarters, which covers an area of around 5,000 m² and will provide space for up to 270 employees. The building includes three office levels with four units each, two of which are currently sublet.
Now everyone is united under one roof again and the new office in the former so-called Reishalle in Bremen’s district Überseestadt offers many advantages: shorter distances, no commuting back and forth between Fischerhude and Bremen, even better and faster communication and networking of the individual units. There are more meeting rooms, ultra-modern workplaces, everything perfectly equipped. As usual, the physical well-being of the staff team is also taken care of. The company’s own cook continues to provide colleagues with a delicious organic lunch. After completion of the final work in the fourth quarter, there will also be a publicly accessible area with gastronomy and retail on the ground floor. One thing is certain: everyone will benefit from the new office. In future, even business appointments will be much easier to arrange thanks to the better transport connections in Bremen.
Moving to the new office building means another big step towards the future for the Brüning Group. Optimally networked collaboration, synergies can be used even better and the sense of unity is strengthened. We are looking forward enthusiastically to the new challenges, the further development and the cooperation with our customers, suppliers and business partners.
