Raw Material and Energy Source from Residual Wood

Sawmill wood chips are a versatile raw material that plays an important role in pulp and paper production. During the processing of sawn timber in the sawmill, residual wood is produced which is processed into high-quality wood chips. These are used, for example, as pulp in paper mills and for pulp production. Thanks to their high quality and the use of debarked softwood, they are ideal for paper production.

In addition to paper production, sawmill wood chips are also used as firewood for energy-efficient biomass heating systems. They provide a sustainable source of energy and help to conserve forest resources. The versatile use of sawmill wood chips, both materially and thermally, makes optimum use of the residual wood.
