We are starting the year with fantastic news: the Brüning Group continues to expand its supply chains from the Baltic States to Central and Northern Europe. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, we established a new transport line with maritime vessels with further deliveries already being planned, as we have set ourselves ambitious goals for the next twelve months. But first things first.
COOPERATION AS THE KEY FOR EXPANSION
We have indeed been cultivating a trusted cooperation with our roundwood and wood chip suppliers in the Baltic States for many years. Thanks to the continuous development of our partnerships, we offer our customers stable and flexible access to Baltic timber. Therefore, we value the close collaboration as a dependable bridge to the Baltics, which is an important pillar for the internationalisation of the entire Group.
NEW SALES MARKETS FOR ROUNDWOOD AND WOOD CHIPS
A significant milestone in the development of new supply streams to Central Europe and Scandinavia arose from the idea of establishing additional roundwood and wood chip exports from the Baltic States to new sales markets in close cooperation with our customers. The long-standing cooperation with our Baltic suppliers proved to be the key advantage here.
However, initially it was essential for us to collect real figures on shipping capacities and to optimise the logistical processes on this basis. Methodical test runs provided us with the necessary insights for the efficient handling of future shipments. The collected data thus made a significant contribution to building economically sustainable supply infrastructures.
ON COURSE FOR INTERNATIONALISATION
This initial success motivated us. Through the systematic expansion of our international network, we created additional capacities and further strengthened our presence in the market. This enables us to respond even more flexibly and reliably to the requirements of our customers in Central and Northern Europe and to create customised solutions for access to high-quality wood resources. Today, we can proudly say that our supply chains in the Baltics are optimally positioned – the perfect basis for achieving our goals in 2025.
