DENYS POULET

Business Development Manager France

What does your perfect workday look like?

As I’m responsible for Business Development, no two days are the same. Around half of my time is spent visiting customers, which is the part I enjoy most. A perfect workday means meeting customers, building strong relationships and having productive discussions. It’s especially rewarding when we can move a project forward and close a deal. In my day-to-day work, I also enjoy finding the best solutions for our customers and identifying new business opportunities that create value for everyone involved.

What was your biggest ‘aha’ moment while working here?

One of the biggest surprises for me was receiving a birthday gift from Brüning Group. It showed me that the company truly cares about its employees and values the people behind the business. From my very first day, I felt genuinely welcomed by my colleagues. Even though I don’t speak German, everyone made me feel included, which left a very positive impression on me.

Which quality do you value most in your colleagues?

Reliability is the quality I appreciate the most. When I ask for support or when something is particularly important, I know I can count on my colleagues.

If you could travel to the past or future for a day, where would you go and why?

I would go to the future! I’m currently working on a major project that is expected to start in 2031. I would love to travel there for a day to see the first vessel in operation.

Name your work or life motto to make the day your day.

“One problem, many solutions.”

My job is all about finding solutions. Whenever a challenge comes up, I focus on identifying different options and offering the best possible solution. That’s what motivates me every day.
