NEW: DIGITAL SHIPMENT TRACKING

We are keeping up with the times and digitising our processes in order to act more efficiently, effectively and innovatively. We see great potential that can be utilised in the future, particularly in the area of rapid data and information exchange. For this reason, we have pursued the strategic goal of developing our own solution for digital document transmission and have now implemented it accordingly.

With the help of our shipment tracking application, we enable the transmission of loading and delivery documents as well as weighing slips directly via smartphone. This solution works without an additional app and is designed to minimise the effort for everyone involved. This means that no installation or registration is required, instead it works via a QR code. Freight forwarders are expected to use the QR code to photograph and upload the relevant documents in the application after completing the collection and delivery at the relevant loading or unloading point.

The application is translated into 32 languages and automatically adapts to the language set on the smartphone. Of course, the language can also be changed manually if required. An important point on the subject of data protection: the location of the device is not tracked, so we do not know where a truck is currently located.

The application enables us to immediately record the collection and delivery times of our orders. This leads to an optimisation of our processes, as questions about the order can be clarified more quickly and our operations department is always informed about the current status of the orders.

This service has the advantage that completed orders can be invoiced much more quickly, as we have direct access to the freight documents. If tracking is used correctly, freight forwarders also have the option of switching to a credit note procedure so that they receive a credit note after a few days, up to a maximum of seven. This eliminates a great deal of effort for the freight forwarders when issuing invoices.

With the introduction of this digital solution, we are striving to continuously improve our processes. The uncomplicated transfer of documents not only helps to speed up processes, but also creates a reliable basis for smooth collaboration. We are convinced that this innovation will lead to even stronger partnerships and joint optimisation of work processes in the long term, which will benefit everyone.
