In the course of our internationalisation, we already installed a specialist department for notifications in 2015. These authorisation procedures, which have to be carried out for environmental reasons when importing and exporting waste wood and waste, are always supervised by our professionally experienced employees. This is because, for example, in the area of waste-to-energy, the thermal utilisation of waste, the material and the international flow of goods are very strictly monitored. Therefore, when handling the notification of waste and waste wood, our experts always work closely with their colleagues from the operational departments, and they also coordinate the entire process with the competent authorities, customers and suppliers.
First, the notification with the important information is recorded in our system. This is followed by the creation of the notification forms in ZEDAL, a system for electronic record keeping. As soon as all relevant documents are available, they are compiled for the authority and the notification is sent. Furthermore, our employees take care of following up the processing of the notification with the authorities, responding to subsequent requests from the authorities and processing through to approval. Once this has been recorded in ZEDAL and our company’s own system, the transport is registered. The tracking of the transports and the corresponding recycling documents is, of course, also part of our service.
It doesn’t take long to realise that monitoring and complying with the official requirements as well as the correspondence for carrying out cross-border transports abroad in compliance with all legal requirements causes an enormous amount of bureaucracy and also requires sufficient knowledge and experience. It’s good to have someone who can handle this task professionally and reliably.

As a specialist waste management company, we are audited in accordance with the Ordinance on Specialised Waste Management Companies and qualified to handle and transport waste in a professional manner. As we have discovered, there are very few companies that offer notifications as a service. Therefore, we also carry these out as an external service. With the exception of hazardous waste, such as plutonium, we take care of the notification of all products for which this is required for cross-border transport in Europe. Even for products for which we have not yet gone through any authorisation procedures, we are of course prepared to train our employees accordingly.
