NEW FULL SUPPLY WITH WASTE WOOD

The success stories reported from the waste wood unit continue. We recently concluded a new full supply contract with the Leiber GmbH in Bramsche near Osnabrück.

Leiber stands for brewer’s yeast upcycling at world market level since 1954. The company refines brewer’s yeast into innovative products for humans and animals. Research is carried out in the company’s own laboratories and customised product solutions are developed for healthy nutrition, biotechnological and agricultural applications.

These refinement processes require heat, which is to be generated by a biomass heating plant. Leiber will start operating the power plant by the end of the year and is thus pursuing its goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 50 % by 2024.

Here, too, we have been in close contact with the persons in charge since the beginning of the planning of the biomass heating plant. In line with our basic principle of transparent communication, we shared our knowledge and experience and openly exchanged information about the waste wood market, available quantities and qualities. This resulted in a contract that is adapted to the volatile market conditions, but still provides planning security for both sides.
