EXTENSION: FULL SUPPLY CONTRACT WITH EZHI

We have extended the contract for the full supply of the wood-fired power plant of EnergieZukunft Hildesheim GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of EVI Energieversorgung Hildesheim GmbH & Co. KG (EVI) on a long-term basis until the end of the EEG subsidy by June 2032 and will continue to supply the customer EnergieZukunft Hildesheim (EZHI).

The wood-fired power plant produces electricity and heat and requires about 15,000 tonnes of wood chips per year. The biomass supplied by the Brüning Group is forest chips and wood chips from landscape conservation material, mainly from a radius of about 100 kilometres. Using regional quantities, i.e. using resources available directly in the area, is a key focus of this full-supply contract.

For fast digital order processing, the logistics software Felix Tools is used, which can also be accessed via app. Through optimised logistics, verification and quality control, capacities can be used even more efficiently.

“We are very pleased about the contract extension and look forward to further successful cooperation. It has been proved time and again that the concepts we develop individually for each power plant deliver optimal results and that the respective operators are very satisfied in the end,” explains Kevin Sammann, Head of Biomass Fresh Wood, adding: “Of course, we are also proud to make an important contribution to sustainable energy supply.”

“A long-term, secure, sustainable and calculable energy wood supply through a strong partner with a local value chain were the decisive criteria for us for the cooperation,” says Klaus Blome, Head of District Heating at EVI and Managing Director of EnergieZukunft Hildesheim.
