Plastic windows

Plastic frames as a granulate raw material

Although plastic windows usually impress consumers because of their long service life, they are eventually replaced as part of routine refurbishment and end up at recycling centres. We make use of the devitrified frames and supply them to the plastics industry.

Renovation and demolition
Plastic windows most commonly become obsolete as a result of building renovation and demolition work.

They are dismantled and replaced with new ones.

They are usually disposed of in recycling centres.

No glass
It is crucial that the frames are coarsely devitrified in advance so that the window frames can be successfully recycled by the processing companies.

Through the shredder
The frames then pass through a shredder and are reduced to small coarse pieces. A sorting system filters out foreign materials.

Granulate production
Plastic is left over at the end. This is then processed into granules and used in production.
