Names and appearance
White and crystalline – this is the product that we source from all over the world and deliver promptly. In addition to de-icing salt, it is also referred to as thawing salt and grit.
The salt has the chemical characteristic of lowering the melting point of ice/the freezing point of water to such an extent that the sheet of ice disperses much faster or doesn't even form at all.
Our range includes the right solution for when roads and paths turn too slippery – de-icing salt that counteracts winter’s notoriously icy conditions.
During the winter
De-icing salt/grit is, of course, most popular in winter.
The salt is used to de-ice slippery roads and paths.
De-icing salt is used to increase traffic safety when road conditions become hazardous.
Enquiries and orders
We use de-icing salt as a service product, in addition to our wide range of core products. When you ask for availability, we pull out all the stops.
Since the demand for de-icing salt is at its greatest during the colder months, many traders often only meet the purchasing requirements of their customers after extensive waiting times. We will gladly advise you on how and when to stock up on your de-icing salt with the right amount for the winter months, so that you always have enough road salt in stock to satisfy customer demand.
We sell de-icing salt loose, in bags of 25 kg each, and in bulk bags. The minimum purchase quantity for bagged goods is 24 pallets and approx. 24 tons for loose de-icing salt.
