Waste wood – Good to know…

At the beginning of February, a training on waste wood took place at the BUSS terminal in Stade in collaboration with the German Waste Wood Association (BAV e. V.). A total of seven employees of Buss Terminal Stade GmbH & Co. KG, Stoffstrom GmbH, Heidemann Recycling GmbH, Stader Gehwegreinigung GmbH and the Brüning | Group. All participants have an important function in the supply chain for waste wood, so that all partners of Brüning | Megawatt were very grateful for the training offer.

It was important for us to provide all participants in the supply chain with basic knowledge about waste wood. The focus was on the correct classification of the quality of waste wood, which is of enormous importance for us and our customers. The partners were given interesting details on the four categories A I to A IV of waste wood, into which a classification is made according to previous use, condition and expected pollution. For the recycling process it is also essential to store the waste wood separately and according to its categories. In the sense of cascade use and an increasing shortage of raw materials, we try to use the waste wood initially for material recycling. Only when the material can no longer be used in the wood-based materials industry for technical, economic or legal reasons will we transport it to approved waste wood power plants, which ensure its proper disposal.

Overall, the training was a complete success and we are pleased that we were able to offer our partners another good service. Communicating at eye level, approaching challenges in a solution-oriented and cooperative manner, this is how the performance of all partners can increase.
