You never stop learning…

We from Bruening | Group attach great importance to keeping our employees up to date at all times. In response to repeated requests for further training and in view of the changes in value added tax (VAT) law as of 1 January 2020, we have decided to hold an in-house training course on this subject. To ensure that no mistakes are made in international trade and that the VAT is correctly reported, we have also included the Incoterms 2020 on the agenda. After all, well-trained personnel is indispensable in the context of our internationalization, where further, partly different regulations in tax law have to be considered.

Thus, the entire accounting department and some colleagues from the operative business recently came together for a day of further training. The training was carried out by Mr. Carsten Nesemann from Nesemann & Grambeck, a tax accounting firm in Hamburg, whose main focus is on the cross-border movement of goods and financial services as well as VAT issues in the real estate industry.

“Mr. Nesemann presented the admittedly rather ‘dry’ topic very lively and with many practical examples. The participants were actively involved, so that an immediate learning effect was achieved,” summarizes Cord Bahrenburg, head of accounting. “It was particularly important to make employees aware of the new VAT regulations from 2020, to clarify questions and to illustrate where potential pitfalls could lurk. I am pleased that the Bruening | Group was willing to invest in the knowledge and competence of its staff by providing full-day training for so many employees – knowing well that it is of course also an investment in the future”.
