There are other ways… with pine

As a trader, Brüning | Euromulch certainly also offers Mediterranean pine bark in addition to bark from domestic forests. This bark is known to have all the positive properties of the native bark mulch and is particularly popular, among other things, because it is not only used for soil care but also as an extremely attractive garden decoration.

Conrad Schulze of Brüning | Euromulch, explains: “We are very happy to offer our customers pine bark as an alternative, as the current situation regarding COVID-19 may cause bottlenecks in the domestic bark occasionally. Many sawmills control their production ‘on sight’, as it is influenced on the sales side by the corona measures taken. On the raw material side, they have to deal with the consequences of the heavy bark beetle infestation.

Thanks to our international network, we are fortunately able to react quickly to this type of market change – fully in line with our basic mission. We obtain the pine bark directly from Portugal, where we have already been able to gain an impression of the production on site. We market them in Germany or, for example, also in Denmark and Sweden. Depending on the quantity delivered, the loose material is delivered in sea containers or in walking floors by land. For transport in sea containers we use so-called tipper chassis. Goods in bags are transported with a tautliner (semi-trailer with tarpaulin).

We are pleased to be able to offer our customers alternatives even in extraordinary situations and to support them with advice. If you have any questions or are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us.
