The climate package is tied up!

From January 2020, the exchange of an old oil heating system for a new, more efficient and climate-friendly system will be promoted in Germany with the exchange premium for oil heating systems. The new premium represents a further step towards the energy transition. It is intended to create an incentive to switch to heating with renewable energies.

When replacing an oil-fired heating system with a heating system that is operated entirely with renewable energies, e.g. a heat pump or a biomass system, a subsidy of 45 % of the investment costs is possible. For gas hybrid heating systems with a share of renewable energies of at least 25 %, an investment subsidy of 40 % is provided for. In addition to the exchange premium for oil, further improvements are planned. Investment grants are also available for energy-efficient and climate-friendly heating systems that do not replace old oil heating systems.

In the long term, the climate package not only protects the environment, heating with wood fuels such as pellets or wood chips is also more cost-effective than with oil or gas. We from the Bruening | Group also use this alternative by means of our own pellet heating system, which effectively makes us “self-sufficient”.

Otherwise, we will of course take care of supplying the market with these same biomass fuels. As an ENplus-certified trading company, we supply high-quality pellets that are evenly distributed in length, screened and guarantee good combustion. Among other things, the tested quality ensures low-emission heating for the end user. Within the framework of full supply with raw materials and full marketing of the pellets from the plant in Oranienbaum, we have a direct influence on the quality of our pellets. In addition, the Bruening | Group has storage locations in Mölln, Neiden and Neuss and obtains pellets directly from production in all regions. We stand for supply security, and our pellets on the international markets comply with all EUTR, PEFC and/or FSC® and SBP requirements.

We also offer wood chips in accordance with the current standards, e.g. ÖNORM M7133 or DIN EN 14961-4, where the size classes and water content are regulated. For this purpose, the wood chips are screened, for excess length and excessive fines, and technically dried using warm air to achieve a homogeneous water content of between 10-20%. Our wood chips are produced from pure trunk wood, which means that only the trunk of one tree is used for production. In this way we ensure that there are no leaves and needles, sand (root or earth) or crown wood with insufficient heating value and excessively high bark content in the material. As an absolute premium product, we offer sawmill chips which are also bark-free and therefore produce less ash.
